Stay True Print
This piece was inspired by a photo the beautiful Magdalene (IG @magdalene.photo) took a couple months ago that lives rent free in my mind.
The words “Stay True” are the title of a memoire I read by Hua Hsu that moved me to tears and instantly became one of my top 10 books in life next to Trick Mirror by Jia Tolentino. Both books speaking to identity, a concept that is fluid and yet concrete. How we see ourselves and how others view us is never fully the same like reaching out to your reflection realizing you can’t fully trust the view from a mirror but sometimes that’s all you got.
